Please share a memory of Penny to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Penny Coulon Kunst, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the age of 61.
Penny was born on Saturday, March 30, 1963, in Maryville, Tennessee, and relocated to Barnesville, Georgia, early in life. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph B. Coulon, Jr., Betty J. Coulon, and Rose A. Evans; and her son Robert Joseph Coulon. She is survived by her husband Robert J. Kunst, Jr. of Barnesville, her sons Albert (Trey) J. Bernard III (Amanda) of Culloden and Daniel L. Bernard (Ashley) of Franklin, NC; her granddaughter Olivia J. Bernard; step-grandchild, Jacob Blackmon; sisters, cousins and many other family members. She graduated from Lamar County Comprehensive High School (Class of 1981). She aspired to be a nurse, but she ended up succeeding at her greatest task; being a dedicated mother to her three sons.
Penny was a wonderful human being who loved her family and friends as much as she loved the Lord. She was faithful to her loved ones and to her study of Christ’s word. She was always there to lend a helping hand and completely doted on her granddaughter, who called her Nana. She loved to read, watch television, and spend time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
A memorial service will be held TBA at First Baptist Church of Forsyth.
In lieu of flowers and given her love of animals, donations can be made to a local animal shelter of your choosing in her name.
