


Obituary of Homer Dave Torbert
Mr. Homer “Dave” Torbert age 79, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, April 03, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Dave was born on Saturday, May 19, 1945, in Barnesville Georgia to the late Herbert Willis Torbert, Sr. and the late Ollie Jo McCord Torbert. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Herbert Torbert, Jr., sisters, Dorothy Jeannette Brinkley, Janelle “Red” Vestal.
Dave loved his wife and his family very much. He was a Godly man that loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a proud Veteran of The United States Air force where he served in the Vietnam as a “Red Horse” which stands for Rapid Engineer Deployable Operational Repair Savadron Engineer.
Dave is survived by his wife of 31 years, Beth Torbert; sons, Matthew Torbert, Jason Torbert; daughters, Tina Berry (Chad), Christy Weaver (Drew); grandchildren, Trenton Torbert, Harmony Torbert, Clayton Berry, Calvin Berry, Connor Monroy (Maddi), Caitie Monroy (Fenn), Carlina Monroy, Lily Weaver; great-grandchildren, Cambree Monroy, Mila Monroy. Several nieces, nephews & extended family.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Homer Dave Torbert will be held Saturday April 12, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home, with Reverend Steve Morgan officiating. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to service at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to gideons.org or to the Alzheimer’s Association at donorservices.alz.org
