Obituary of Marion Lynette "Nette" Wilson

Ms. Marion Lynette “Nette” Wilson, age 86, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025.

Nette was born on Tuesday, February 21, 1939, in Abbeville, Georgia to the late William Leonard Wilson and Lillie Mae Bowman Wilson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Thomas Wilson, John David “Sonny” Wilson.

Nette loved sewing and crocheting. She led a Bible study at the nursing home for many years, she also loved reading the Bible and went on mission trips with her Church.

Nette is survived by her brother, Virgil Wilson, and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Graveside Service for Ms. Marion Lynette “Nette” Wilson will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Lamar Memory Gardens, with Reverend Garth Forster officiating. Friends may visit with family, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Williams Westbury Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested to make a donation to Shiners Children’s Hospital, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Georgia Baptist Children’s Home, in memory of Marion Lynette Wilson.
