Keith O’Brian Kennedy
June 29, 1956 – September 5, 2025
He was a unique character that will be missed. Perfect by no means but authentic. He wore his heart on his sleeve and flew by the seat of his pants. He was my pops. He never ducked action and was known for his fight game. His sense of humor was different but he was funny to say the least. One thing for sure he will be missed. I love ya old man.
I was seventeen when I first met pops. It was 3am and when he answered the door he yelled, “Who the fuck is knocking on my door?” I was scared to death and all I could say was, “I heard you was my daddy.” We looked at each other and he smiled from ear to big ole ear (cause he had huge ears lol) and we sat down and got to know each other. A lot of questions were answered for me that morning. I knew then who I was and for that I am grateful.
He gave me my heart. The Kennedy heart, he called it. And it ain’t no joke. His generosity he passed down to me. And his love for others, all great qualities — and for that I am grateful. Pops, I know you can hear me. Thank you and I love you. And for that I am grateful.
Rest in peace, old man.
P.S. I bet you thought I was about to roast your ass, didn’t you? Lol. I’ll save that for when we meet again
