Obituary of Shirley Blythe Wood

Mrs. Shirley Blythe Wood, age 84, of Milner, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was born on Thursday, October 31, 1940, in Buena Vista, Georgia, to the late Glynn Blythe and Louise Phillips Blythe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Steven Davis.

Shirley was a member of Rock Springs Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Volunteering and serving other people in the community was a passion of hers. Going fishing and visiting Saint George Island was always a joy.

She leaves to cherish her memory, husband of 54 years, Roy Wood; daughter, Terri Lynn Renfroe (Greg); grandchildren, John Gregory Renfroe, Lauren Hicks (Chad); great-grandchildren, Tyler Hicks, Caroline Hicks.

A Graveside Service for Mrs. Shirley Blythe Wood will be held Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Rock Springs Church Cemetery, with Pastor Rod Rosenthal officiating. Friends may visit the family after the service.
