Obituary of Irene Elizabeth Williams

Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Williams, 71, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Irene was born on Wednesday, August 4, 1954, in Macon, Georgia to the late James Ernest Duffell and the late Edith Estelle Bazemoore Duffell. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ernie Duffell.

Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family deeply. She fought a long battle with cancer and will be missed by her family and friends. She loved the Lord and attended First Pentecostal Church in Thomaston, Georgia.

Irene is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard Williams, Sr., sons: Richard Williams, Jr. (Traci), Roy Williams (Heather), Christian Williams (Brittney); sister, Jessica Saunders (John), several grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Williams will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025, 1:00 P.M. at First Pentecostal Church, Thomaston Georgia, with Reverend L.R. Brock officiating. Friends may visit family on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Church. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville Georgia.
