Obituary of Christine "Chris" Betsy Smith

Ms. Christine “Chris” Betsy Smith, age 82, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Chris was born on Tuesday, May 22, 1943, in Pearl River, New York to the late Frank B. Siejwa, and the late Christina Betty Montangne Siejwa. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Scott Smith.

 

Chris was a blessing from God. She graduated from Ocean County Community with a degree in Nursing, where she was a Nurse for over 40 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, the Eiffel Tower being her favorite place. She also loved drinking black coffee with ice.

 

Chris is survived by her sons, Dale Smith, Jr. (Cathleen), John Paul Smith, Warren Smith (Tracy); grandchildren, Autum Smith, Katelyn Smith, Joel Teeple, and extended family.
