Obituary of Lena Charlotte Phillips

Mrs. Lena Charlotte Phillips, 86, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Charlotte was born on Thursday, March 30, 1939, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Joseph Hewlett Moseley and the late Sarah Elizabeth Brooks Moseley. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Mitchell.

Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Charlotte loved life, having parties at the lake, and spending time with family and friends. She loved taking trips to Panama City Beach, Florida. She loved her flowers and her fur baby “dixie”, she was loved by all her family and friends and will be missed by everyone.

Charlotte is survived by her husband of 68 years, Billy Phillips., daughter; Denise Oglesby (David); son, Vince Phillips; grandchildren, Jason Oglesby (Brandy), Jacob Oglesby (Alisha), Jarrod Oglesby, Chad Phillips (Beth); great-grandchildren, Avery Oglesby, Logan Oglesby, R.J. Oglesby, Tyler White, Katie Gill, Jay Gill Connor Phillips, Aaron Phillips, Dalton Loveless; great-great- grandchild, Maria Mae Lipps; sister, Ann Smith, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Lena Charlotte Phillips will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026, 1:00 P.M. at Williams- Westbury Funeral Home, with Derek Mills officiating. Friends may visit family on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
