Obituary of Donald Ray Johnston

Mr. Donald Ray Johnston, age 72, of Yatesville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Donald was born on Friday, July 18, 1953, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Bessie Jean Foster Johnston. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald L. Johnston, Michael Allen Johnston, sister, Patricia Ann Johnston.

 

He was a loving husband and son. Donald loved playing his guitar, model cars, and boats.

 

Donald is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joni Almon Johnston; mother, Jean Johnston; adopted father, Billie Johnston, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

 

A Memorial Service for Mr. Donald Ray Johnston will be held at a later date; the family has requested for donations to be made payable to the Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
