Obituary of Dot Wilson Cliburn

Mrs. Dot Wilson Cliburn, age, 93 of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Dot was born on Wednesday, March 9, 1932, in Milner, Georgia to the late Carl Hastings Smith and the late Katherine Norris Smith. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Wilson, Lewis Crowder, Reverend Edwin Cliburn, sister, Estelle Cohenour.

Dot was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family very much. She was a member of the State International and World Porcelain Painting Organization. She taught porcelain painting for many years. She loved her fur babies, and being in her garden was always a place of joy for her.

Dot is survived by her children, Kerry Wilson (Mary Louise), Jackie Laney, Danny Wilson, Eddie Wilson (Julie); 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Milner Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Frank Tarpley officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 1:00P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Milner Baptist Church.
