Obituary of Gary David Littlejohn

Gary David Littlejohn, age 75, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Brightmoor Hospice. Mr. Littlejohn was born on Thursday, May 27, 1948, to the late William Garland “Red” Littlejohn and Myrtice Conkle Littlejohn.

Gary served for the United States Army in Vietnam from 1968 – 1969. He was recognized and honorably received the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic Vietnam Campaign Medal 1960, and Combat Infantryman Badge. From an early age, Mr. Littlejohn was very athletic. He played basketball, baseball, and football any chance he got. Later in life he loved to watch The Braves and wrestling to pass the time. Gary also enjoyed going fishing and hunting.

Mr. Littlejohn is proceeded in death by his parents; sisters, Patricia Wiggins and Linda Merchant; and half-brother Bennett Dix.

Gary is survived by his siblings and spouses, John Robert Littlejohn (Yvonne), Jesse Littlejohn, William D. “Pete” Littlejohn (Rae Lynn), Lena “P-Lucy” Littlejohn; along with several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

A family visitation will be on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home in Barnesville. A Graveside Service will be on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Lamar Memory Gardens with Kathy Conkle officiating.
