Obituary of Franklin Andrews

Mr. Franklin Andrews, age 82, of Barnesville passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010 in a Lamar County Healthcare Facility. A Lamar County native, he was born to the late Mr. Joe Frank Andrews and the late Mrs. Mary Etta Lassiter Andrews, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Ida Mae Bishop. Mr. Andrews was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in The Rock, GA. He was Retired from the U.S. Navy, having served in the Korean Conflict. Survivors include - His Wife - Marjorie Andrews of Barnesville ; 1 Daughter- Shebra Lynn Rush of Decatur ; 2 Sons - Franklin “Eugene” Andrews of Texas ; & Lonnie Joe Andrews of Texas ; 4 Step-Children - Barbara Powell of Barnesville ; Roy Gene Williams of Glenville ; Dennis Williams of Meansville ; & Richard Williams of Barnesville ; 1 Sister - Vivian Louise Culpepper ; & 1 Brother - Fred Andrews. Funeral Services for Mr. Franklin Andrews will be conducted Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1 O’Clock in The First Pentecostal Church of The Rock GA. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home of Barnesville on Friday evening, April 23, 2010 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
