Obituary of Carolyn Zellner
Mrs. Carolyn Belle Dickens Zellner, age 87, of Culloden passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010 in a Macon Healthcare Facility. Mrs. Zellner was born in Bibb County to the late Mr. Dexter Brittian Dickens and the late Mrs. Bonnie Mae Trawick Dickens. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Glen Virgil Zellner, and by her brother Mr. James Riley Dickens. Mrs. Zellner was a Home Maker, and had been a Former Chief Registrar of Lamar County. She was a member of the Barnesville Presbyterian Church. A lifetime member of The Heart of Georgia League in Macon, Mrs. Zellner loved her community and was very active in civic organizations and local charity work. She was known and loved for her storytelling abilities, and will be missed by her devoted family and friends.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters – Glenda McMahon of Atlanta ; & Donna Blackwell (& Joe) of Culloden ; 1 Son - Robert Zellner (& Debi) of Culloden ; 7 Grandchildren ; 9 Great Grand Children ; 2 Great Great Grandchildren ; 1 Brother – Britty Dickens - of Thomaston ; 1 Sister – In-Law – Crystal Dickens of Lanette, AL; & Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Carolyn Zellner will be conducted on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Barnesville Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Mary Jane Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in the Ramah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday Evening, July 6, 2010 from 6pm until 8pm.
