Obituary of Prentice Fordham

The Reverend Prentice “Jearl” Fordham, age 79, of Barnesville passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 at his residence. A native of Eastman, Rev. Fordham had lived in Barnesville for a number of years. Born to the late Mr. Horace Otha “H.O.” Fordham and the late Mrs. Alma Garrett Fordham, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Mary Frances Brinkley Fordham. Rev. Fordham Retired after serving God and his community as a Pastor for over 50 years. Rev. Fordham was a member of the Midway Baptist Church in Barnesville. Survivors include: His wife - Mrs. Mary Fordham of Barnesville ; 4 Daughters - Mrs. Joanne Rowland (& Larry) of Chester, GA ; Mrs. Jeanie McNair (& J.R.) of Chester, GA ; Mrs. Janice Fordham of Snellville ; & Mrs. Vickie Darden (& Roy) of Cochran ; 4 Step-Children - Mrs. Alice Suter (& Frank) of Conyers ; Mr. Jack Reeves (& Reba) of Jackson ; Marion Reeves (& Fredalyn) of Jackson ; & Harry Reeves (& Sondra) of Griffin ; 1 Sister - Mrs. Lois Condrey of Hawkinsville ; Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, & other relatives. Funeral Services for the Reverend Jearl Fordham will be conducted Monday, July 12, 2010 at 2 O’Clock in the Midway Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon (7-11-2010) from 2pm until 4pm.
