Obituary of David Clark

Mr. David Wheeler Clark, Sr., age 79, of Barnesville passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at his residence. He was a native of Union, SC, but made his home here in Lamar County for a number of years. He was born to the late Mr. David Crosby Clark and to the late Mrs. Boyd Wheeler Clark. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Aubrey James Dean Cartledge. He was Retired as a Research and Development Manager for the William Carter Company with 31 years of service. He was also a Veteran of the US Military. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville and The Timothy Sunday School Class. Survivors include: His Wife - Barbara Greer Clark of Barnesville ; 1 Daughter - Cynthia Marie Cantrell (& Dwayne) of Griffin ; 1 Son- David Wheeler Clark, Jr. (& Kelly) of Griffin; & 1 Granddaughter - Angela Johnston of San Diego, CA. Funeral Services for Mr. David Clark, Sr. will be conducted on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church of Barnesville. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Saturday evening, July 31, 2010 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
