Obituary of Emma Coffey

Mrs. Emma “Louise” Poteet Coffey, age 81, of Barnesville passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010 in a Macon Healthcare Facility. A native of Gastonia, North Carolina, she had made her home in Barnesville for most of her life. Daughter of the late Mr. Ernest Poteet and the late Mrs. Mandy Thomas Poteet, she was Retired as a Sewing Machine Operator from The William Carter Company. Mrs. Coffey was a member of The First Assembly of God in Barnesville. Survivors include: Her husband - Herman Coffey of Barnesville ; 4 Sons - Herman “Richie” (& Pat) Coffey of Barnesville ; Ernie (& Martha) Coffey of The Rock ; Don (& Ann) Coffey of Barnesville ; & Earl (& Vicki) Coffey of Barnesville ; 1 Daughter - Sarah (& Keith) Osborne of Ft. Valley ; 1 Brother - Nelson Poteet ; 1 Sister - Ruth Bloodworth ; 15 Grandchildren ; 14 Great Grandchildren ; & 1 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Emma “Louise” Coffey will be conducted on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11 O’Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 6pm until 8pm.
