Obituary of David Martin

Mr. David Wayne “Swifty” Martin, age 49, of Griffin passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010 in a Spalding County Healthcare Facility. He was a native of Lamar County. He was a Mechanic for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his father Mr. Charles E. Martin. Survivors include- His Mother- Jewell Allmon of Thomaston ; Step-Son - Allan Hubbard of Barnesville ; Step-Daughter - Shauna Meadows (& John Lewis) of Senoia ; 6 Step-Grandchildren ; Sisters - Judy Doggett (& Larry) of Thomaston ; & Debra Crummie (& Freddy) of Barnesville ; Brothers - Jerry Martin (& Diane) of Milner ; & Ronald Martin of Barnesville ; 7 Step-Sisters ; 1 Step-Brother ; Special Friends John (& Jessica) Saunders ; Several nieces and nephews and other very special friends. Funeral Services for Mr. David “Swifty” Martin will be conducted on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 2 O’Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Lonnie Grant officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Saturday evening November 13, 2010 from 6pm until 8pm.
