I was so saddened to hear of Jimmy's passing. I had contacted him about a year ago and was so glad to hear from him. We had some great times at Hammond Drive Baptist Church growing up. He will be missed by the class of "65".

I would like to express my condolences to Jimmy’s family. I have many fond memories of him from childhood into maturity. I first met Jimmy at Hammond Drive Baptist Church when we were both very young. Our lives grew closer while we were students at Griffin Tech where we both found our first real jobs. We attended training for North Electric Company in Galion, OH and received our first on the road assignment in Greenwood, SC. Jimmy and I shared a trailer, then a lakeside cabin until I was drafted into the Army. We lost contact for many years but I did get to chat with him for a few minutes a couple of years ago when I passed through Griffin on vacation. I’m sure he will be missed by family and friends.
