Obituary of Carol Whitworth

Mrs. Carol Ann Dumas Whitworth, age 64, of Barnesville passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in an Upson County Healthcare Facility. A lifelong resident of Barnesville, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Henry Grady Dumas and the late Mrs. Grace King Dumas. Mrs. Whitworth was Retired as a Librarian from the Barnesville - Lamar County Library. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. Survivors include: Her Husband of 44 years - Larry B. Whitworth of Barnesville ; 1 Son - Erick (& Danielle) Whitworth of Columbus ; 2 Daughters - Stephanie (& Don) Griffin of Lawrenceville & Lauren (& Brian) McCormick of Dallas ; 6 Grandchildren - Lexie, Blanton, & Caitlyn Whitworth of Columbus, Madison & Logan Griffin of Lawrenceville, & Ryder Whitworth of Barnesville ; 1 Brother - Van Dumas of Monroe ; 3 Sisters - Sybil (& Kelly) Runyan of Barnesville, Faye (& Bill) Kimbrell of Grayson, & Pat Brown of Barnesville ; 1 Brother-in-law - Terry (& Mary Lee) Whitworth of Cumming ; and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, & Other Relatives. Funeral Services for Mrs. Carol Ann Whitworth will be conducted Friday, December 2, 2011 at 2 O’Clock in the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville with the Reverend Jay Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 5:30pm until 8:00pm.
