Obituary of Elmer Dawson

Mr. Elmer Dawson, age 84, of Barnesville passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 in an Upson County Healthcare Facility. A native of Upson County, Mr. Dawson was the son of the late Mr. Albert Ross Dawson and the late Mrs. Mary Maggie McKinely Dawson, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gladys Bunn Dawson. He was Retired from Keadle Lumber Company as a Sawmill Worker. Survivors include: 2 Sons - Danny (& Debbie) Dawson of East Dublin, & Larry (& Cathy) Dawson of Yatesville ; 7 Grandchildren - Michael (& Laura) Dawson, Brandon (& Tracy) Dawson, Greg Dawson, Kelly Boyt, Jason Dawson, Angel (& Buster) Standridge, & Jonathan Zacary Dawson ; Great Grandchildren - Robert and Dazey Boyt, Jakob and Aren Dawson, Journey Rebecca Standridge, & Victoria Dawson ; 2 Sisters - Mary Ann Smith of Thomaston, and Mildred Lloyd of Thomaston ; & 1 Brother - William Clyde Dawson of Barnesville. Funeral Services for Mr. Elmer Dawson will be conducted Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 2 O’Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 6pm until 8pm.
