Obituary of Alma Ross

Mrs. Alma Catherine Bishop Ross, age 86, of Barnesville, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in Upson County. She was a member of Pineview Baptist Church, a member of WMU, Founding Member of the Scottish Society of Middle Georgia, and a member of the Clan Ross Association of The United States. Mrs. Ross was the Daughter of the late James William Bishop and the late Annie Lee Womack Bishop. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Marion Clarence Ross. Survivors include her Son: Leon Ross of Barnesville, GA; two Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Elaine and Roy McCoy of Thomaston, GA and Linda and Jerry Stacks of Lancaster, SC; 5 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Sister and Brother-In-Law: Jackie and Leon Davis of Griffin, GA; Sister-In-Law: Louise Bishop of Griffin, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Alma Catherine Bishop Ross will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 2 PM in Pineview Baptist Church. The Reverend Franklin Gibson and the Reverend Richard Stokes will officiate. Burial will take place in Lamar Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Williams Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM.
