Obituary of James Knoch

Mr. James Richard Knoch, age 85, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 in a Griffin Healthcare Facility. He was a native of Bellevue, Pennsylvania. Born to the late Mr. James Hosmer Knoch and the late Mrs. Ruth Blanche Davis Knoch, he was also preceded in death by a Granddaughter, Brittany Anne Knoch. Mr. Knoch had worked as a Salesman for Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse, and was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Griffin. He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. Survivors include: His wife of 64 years - Billie Jean Knoch of Barnesville ; 1 Son - James Edward (& Susan Kay) Knoch of Lawrenceville ; 2 Daughters - Barbara Jean (& Rodney) Bitner of Wilmington, NC ; & Patricia Ruth (& Robert “Bob”) Wright of Barnesville ; 2 Brothers - Robert Knoch & Thomas Raymond Knoch, both of Pittsburgh, PA ; 7 Grandchildren - Christopher Kahill Knoch of San Francisco, CA ; Tracie Elizabeth Garren of Suwanee ; Thomas Michael Thrailkill of Monroe ; James Matthew Wright of Barnesville ; Robert Howard Wright of Barnesville ; John Edward Wright of Atlanta ; & Richard Allen Wright of Detroit, MI ; & 8 Great Grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Mr. James Richard Knock will be conducted Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11 O’ Clock in St. George’s Episcopal Church in Griffin. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that Memorial Contributions be made to either St. George’s Episcopal Church, 132 North 10th Street, Griffin, GA 30223, or to the First Baptist Church of Barnesville, 200 Zebulon Street, Barnesville, GA 30204.
