Obituary of Ruby Allen

Mrs. Ruby Inez Ball Allen, age 78, formerly of Barnesville, passed away Friday, February 6, 2009 in a Montezuma Healthcare Facility. Mrs. Allen was a native of Lamar County, but had made her home in Montezuma for several years. Daughter of the late Mr. Rufus Ball and the late Mrs. Annie Agnes Long Ball, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Floyd Franklin Allen, by her brother, Mr. Leroy Ball, and by her two sons, Mr. Harvey Franklin Allen and Mr. Jerry Leonard Allen. Mrs. Allen was Retired as a Seamstress from The William Carter Company, and had been a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include: 2 Daughters - Mrs. Pamela Darlene Allen Stephens and her husband Tim ; & Mrs. Shelby Jean Allen Stephens and her husband Jerry ; 5 Granddaughters ; 4 Grandsons ; 19 Great Grandchildren ; & Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Other Relatives. Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruby Inez Ball Allen will be conducted Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 1:00pm until the service hour.
