I lived in Milner as a child, my dad was the minister of the Baptist Church. Edna's niece, Sandy, was my best friend and half of our time was spent at Edna's house or at Sandy's grandmother's, Mrs. Darden. Mother, dad and I have visited Edna over the years. Edna was the heart of Milner, the twinkle in her eye and her contagious smile always touched my heart. She was one in a million, special and wonderful. She will be truly missed. Miss Edna will truely be missed each and every day in this community. We always knew she was alright when her curtains were opened in the morning and when her lights went out at 11 P.M. She was a good neighbor and friend. We will miss her very much. We loved her and she loved us.

Miss Edna was special in so many thoughtful ways and she will always be remembered as a caring and sharing neighbor and friend. The hot meal she delivered on the day we moved in made us feel welcomed to the Darden homeplace. Her music was enjoyed by many ears and we appreciate her years of service to the Milner Methodist Church. She took such pleasure in her garden and flowers and cared for our pets when we travled. She was a special neighbor and we will miss her.

"Miss Edna" as I have always known her, has always been a gratious Southern lady, who always had a kind word for everyone. She will be missed. Daddy, Julian Weldon, and Miss Edna, always had such fun together, and much mutual respect. Daddy and Miss Edna shared April 10th as their birthday's and always remembered each other in unique ways each year. I know Dad and Mom both welcomed Miss Edna into Heaven and it must be sweeter because of each of them.

I have such fond memories of Mrs. Edna. I grew up on Liberty Hill Street and went to church with her at Milner Baptist. What a talented piano player. My prayers are with you all.
