Obituary of Linda Dawson

Mrs. Linda Jane Ivey Dawson, age 67, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 in an Upson County Healthcare Facility. Mrs. Dawson was lifelong resident of Lamar County. Daughter of the late Mr. Clarence Franklin Ivey and the late Mrs. Lula Mae McGaha Ivey, she was preceded in death by her son, Mr. William Keith Martin. Mrs. Dawson was Retired as a Secretary from Gordon Military School, and had also worked for the old Barnesville Newspaper. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Survivors include: Her husband - Mr. William Dawson of Barnesville ; 2 Daughters - Linda Dawn Senn of Griffin & Angela Marie Barton of Barnesville ; 1 Son - Terry Franklin Martin of Griffin ; 5 Step-Children - William David Dawson (& Lisa) of Barnesville ; Derek Shane (& Theresa) of Meansville ; Dara Leann Wells (& Daniel) of Hickory, North Carolina ; Cary Devin Dawson (& Melissa) of Jacksonville, FL ; & Clyde Darren Dawson (& Laura) of Griffin ; 5 Grandchildren - Dathan Senn, Dylan Senn, Tori Alexis Martin, Trenton Keith, & Ronnie Barfield ; 9 Step-Grandchildren - Hannah Dawson, Caleb Dawson, Josh Dawson, Katelyn Dawson, Emilyann LaPage, Nathan LaPage, Aiden Wells, Rose Wells, & Natalie Morris ; 1 Sister - Mary Ivey Etheridge of Forsyth ; & 1 Great Granddaughter - Addison Senn. Funeral Services for Mrs. Linda Jane Ivey Dawson will be conducted Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11 O’Clock in the First Baptist Church of High Falls with Rev. William Dawson & Rev. Jeff Giddens officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery in Upson County. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Monday, March 30, 2009 from 6pm until 8pm.
