Obituary of Betty Weldon

Mrs. Betty Jane Gilbert Weldon, age 83, of Milner passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 in a Griffin Healthcare Facility. Mrs. Weldon was born in Dayton, OH to the late Mr. Hugh Gilbert and to the late Mrs. Alma Hannah Wood Gilbert. She was a retired school teacher from Lamar County Schools and a member of the Milner United Methodist Church. Mrs. Weldon was preceded in death by her Husband, Thomas Maurice Weldon, a Brother, Gene Gilbert, and a Sister, Joan Moler. Survivors include her 2 Daughters – Joan Weldon Zeerip (& Nelson) of Holland, MI ; & Elizabeth Weldon Gaff (& Kenny) of Milner ; a Son Thomas Maurice Weldon II ; a Brother – Charles Gilbert (& Bettie) of Dayton, OH ; 2 Brother-in-law – Carl Moler of Dayton, OH ; Robert Pickney of Jackson ; a Sister – in – law Marinelle Weldon Simpson of McDonough ; 6 Grandchildren – Courtney Weldon of Concord ; Willow Weldon of Milner ; Lindsey Gaff of Milner ; Tanner Gaff of Milner ; Bough Zeerip (& Rebekah) of Grand Junction, CO ; & Jennifer Pazdur (& Ryan) of Celedonia, MI ; & 9 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Weldon will be conducted at 11 O’ Clock on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in the Milner United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Milner Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, March 12, 2013 from 6pm until 8pm.
