Mrs. Marlene Gail Cowart Tichenor, age 60, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 in a Spalding County Healthcare Facility. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to Mr. William Frederick Cowart and the late Mrs. Thelma Katherine Ross Cowart, and was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Patricia Mae Cowart Pellerin. Mrs. Tichenor had worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk for David Weekley Homes. She is survived by: Her Husband - Dennis Tichenor of Palm Beach, FL ; Her Daughter and Son-in-law - Stephanie Ann Tichenor-Moore (& George Fleming “Rip” Moore, Jr. of Barnesville ; 1 Granddaughter - Rachel Kathleen Reynolds of Barnesville ; Her Father - William Frederick Cowart ; 1 Sister - Deborah (& Steve) Erdman of Franklin, NC ; 1 Brother - William Frederick Cowart, Jr. (& Jette) of Newport, NC ; Nieces & Nephews - Tracy Bryan, Jeremy Cowart, Nicole Rogers, William Cowart, Michael Cowart, Madeline Maynard, & Katherine Pellerin ; Great Nephew & Great Niece - Colton & Skylynn ; & her beloved cat - Sir Mew Mew Bartholomew Tichenor. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Marlene Cowart Tichenor will be conducted Friday, May 31, 2013 at 1 O’Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will be Private. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 12 Noon until the service hour.
