Obituary of Sara Jannette Adkins

Mrs. Sara Jannette Adkins, 76, of Barnesville, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Upson Regional Hospital. Mrs. Adkins was born March 13, 1939 in Bartow County, daughter of the late Gene Tidwell and the late Christine Worthington Waters. She was a member of Aldora United Methodist Church and a longtime member of Pine View Baptist Church. She retired from Dundee Mills Lowell Bleachery. She loved her family, cooking, flowers and working in the yard. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Eddie and Shari Boyt of Newnan, Phyllis and James Reavis of Milner, Greg and Angie Boyt of Barnesville, Billy and Lori Boyt of Jackson, and Michelle and Jeremy Kenway of Williamson; grandchildren, Brandy Boyt, Connie Ritter, Danny Moss, Krissie Moss, Nick Boyt, Ryan Boyt, Scott Boyt, Courtney Boyt, Kody Billings and Destin Kenway; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Dix of Barnesville; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Cynthia Tidwell of Griffin; brother, Tommy Tidwell of Griffin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Betty Tidwell and grandson, Derrick Boyt. Funeral services will be at 11:00 Saturday at Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Pastor Sherri Studdard officiating. Interment will follow in the Milner Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Breedlove Memorial Chapel Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00. Service Information
