Obituary of Clarence B. Cole
Mr. Clarence B. Cole, 80, of Meansville passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Spalding Regional Hospital. He was born September 1, 1933 in Decatur, son of the late John Robert Jr. and Annie Lou Greene Cole. Mr. Cole was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville and the Pinta Lodge #88 F & AM Masons. He retired from the Southland Casket Company and was self-employed in the dairy and poultry industry. Mr. Cole was an avid reader of Western books.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Anita C. Cole of Meansville; daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Gary Carlock in Acworth; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Becky Cole of Tahlequah, OK; grandson, Adam Carlock of Acworth; granddaughter, Rylee Cole of Tahlequah, OK; brother, Charles Edward Cole of Thomaston; brother-in-law, Marion Beaver of Powder Springs; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Robert Cole, III and a sister, Jerrie Beaver.
Services will be at 3:00 Sunday at First Baptist Church in Barnesville with Rev. Garth Forster and Rev. Marion Beaver officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will be at their home, and will receive friends at the church Sunday prior to the service from 1:30 until 3:00.
