Some day we're suppose to know that this will all make sense but the sadness and loss just makes it so difficult. Donna and I grew up living very close. Her house was just behind my grandmother's house...Long summer days brought out a BUNCH of kids in the neighborhood to play until at least dusk..So many memories...There was even one time while black berry picking that Chuck saved me from a cotton mouth mocasin.. My mother is 95 and remembers playing with Donna's mother and Davids mom...One day when she was around 8 or 10 she said they all sneaked away from The Darcys house and climbed the bell tower in the old court house...Got in a lot of trouble she said but she said she always had such a great time playing there...Guess that mischiefness :) just stayed in the gene pool.. I will always remember her for her humor and sweetness...And so thankful to know that she was blessed with her two daughters Penny and Darcy that she adored..May God's Grace comfort you, give you strength and truth that you will be together again and it will seem like only a blink in time...

There is a big hole in our lives now with Donna passing. She was a very special person who we were fortunate enough to share our lives with all the way from Bradwell and Hinesville to Atlanta and beyond. She always had a very special kind and warm heart and smile as well as an Idea. She was my best friend for over 50 years. We grew up together, got married, had wonderful children and wonderful lives. She meant so much to me. I know she did as well to Penny, Darcy and the rest of her family just as she did to so may others. She will be sorely missed by all. I will always remember the wonderful times we had and how blessed we were to have known her. She has gone to be with Joe now and I know that is where she wanted to be. God bless all.

Donna was such a wonderful member of Generations Writers. She sat and listened as we read our work aloud. Each of us valued her comments and appreciated her insights. She wrote some amusing pieces filled with imagery. We truly miss her.

Dear Darcy, Penny, and families,
I am a former classmate of Donna from Bradwell Institute. I wanted to extend my sincere sympathy, along with my thoughts and prayers to all of you. To have known your Mom for many years is definitely one of the highlights of my life. We used to go to Rock Eagle 4-H camp together, and those were good times. I am so glad that I got to see her when we had a luncheon for classmates this year. We reminisced a lot!!
I know that she is rejoicing that she is once again with your beloved Dad, and Chuck and others. What a glad reunion that was!!!
May your memories sustain you through these sad days, and help you look forward with the knowledge that you will see her again !!
All my love and prayers, Sandra(Sparks)New

I remember Donna as PRECIOUS, just plain precious. She was my sisters dearest friend and like a daughter to my parents and big sis to me and my siblings.
She had the most gentle way and beautiful, continuos smile.
She loved everyone but especially her Joe.
My sister will be lost without her to call and visit. Oh what beautiful memories she has of her.
I know she is with Jesus and Joe and all her family today. Say hello to Doug , Ted and Mom for me Donna. I will love you forever and see you there.

Many special memories of times together with your Mom, her Mom Eloise, your Dad and his mother Ann, including fish frys at the fish camp! Donna was a beautiful cousin in law and will be sorely missed. With love and sympathy, your cousin, Karen Paulsen.

My Dear Friend, Donna. I am just so sad. I am not ready to say goodbye. I have so many fond memories of our encounters during the B.I. days, but these last couple of years are written on my heart forever. You came into my life with such love and wisdom, and I will cherish these days and moments forever. Your wit, charm and sincerity are matchless, and I don't remember ever, laughing as much as I did with you. Thank you for always remembering; including me in the girlie get-togethers, and the special just because phone calls, always supporting and never giving up on me. I am just so sad you are not with us, but I know you are in His love and with your loved ones. I miss you, We will meet again on that far distant shore.
