Obituary of James Buckmaster
Mr. James (Man) Buckmaster, age 83, of Prince Frederick, Maryland, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016, in Barnesville, Georgia. Mr. Buckmaster was born October 9, 1932 in Bowens, MD, son of the late James Isaac and Evelyn Barrett Buckmaster. He was retired from A & P Groceries and loved his family, telling stories, gardening and the outdoors. His friends lovingly called him “The Captain” for his love of crabbing and fishing.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Mike McCollough of Barnesville, GA; granddaughter and her husband, Mandy and John Juarez of Barnesville, GA; grandson, Jason McCollough of Thomaston, GA; great-grandchildren, Alexandria Yasdiman and her husband, Mehmet, of Warner Robins, GA; Kiele McCollough and Jesse James, both of Barnesville, GA; sister, Dorothy Joy of Prince Frederick, MD; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jo Fry Buckmaster, and sister, Rose Marie Hooper.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 18 at Macs Hollow with Monsignor Michael Fisher officiating.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in memory of Mr. James (Mann) Buckmaster to the American Cancer Society.
