My condolences to the family and all who loved Paul. The seeming finality of death is what makes it especially difficult. But we can have confidence that God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. (Job 14:14,15) His Word, the Bible, gives us a wonderful hope of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (Luke 23:43; John 5:28,29) May this bring you some comfort during this difficult time.

Paul Stewart was a gentle soul. As a young child, I often accompanied my grandfather, Bobby Caldwell, to the golf course on weekday mornings, mostly in the hopes of earning a candy bar at the end of the round. On one such day, "Mr. Paul" was in our foursome. I'll never forget that he handed me his driver on the 7th tee and insisted that I hit a shot for him. I was surprised at the gesture as I was too young to play with the group, and even more surprised to hit the ball down the fairway! This memory was probably a small one for him (if he even remembered it at all), but it loomed large for me. That an adult, and a good player at that, would take an interest in a tag along kid is evidence of the kindness and generosity he exuded, but also a quiet confidence for which I will always remember him. "Mr. Paul" will be missed.

We are heart broken to hear of Mr. Stewart's passing. Our fondest memories of moving to Barnesville are living across the street from he and Mrs. Caroline. My kids LOVED the treats on Halloween. The kindest of all the people we have met in our years in Barnesville. Prayers for God's comfort at this time.
Brenda, Monte McCall and family.

Mr.Paul was such a dear, good man. We will always remember his special friendship to my dad , Bobby Caldwell, as they were golfing buddies and his many kindnesses to our son, Robert, letting and encouraging him to golf with them as a little boy, which contributed greatly to his love of golf and his deep respect for his elders.
We worshipped w Mr. Paul and Miss Caroline for years and always admired their strong faith and commitment to our church. They were the finest.
With deepest sympathy to all of you,
Lynda and Mike Brutz
We are so saddened that we are in FL and will miss the service. We will be thinking of all.
