I have treasured memories of listening to Uncle Junior preach at Mount Zion Church. I loved the soft way and he would say his words and how he seemed to really know the people in the Bible that he spoke about. Though I only got to hear him once or twice a year as we visited Mom's relatives in Barnesville, I always felt safe in his presence--much as I imagine a person did in the presence of Jesus. I am sure it is because he spent so much time with Jesus Himself.

I know you all will miss the wonderful man I called Uncle Junior. Praying for the peace of God to fill your hearts, as we celebrate for him, as he now sees face to face the Savior he loved so much.

To the family, my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. As you cope with this loss, may you be comforted by the “Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort.” (2 Cor. 1:3) And the hope that soon, “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” (John 5:28, 29) May these promises from God's word, the Bible give you strength and a hope for the future.
