Met her when the Beckham family moved to the Atlanta area. We were all teenagers together in a large youth group at First Pentecostal Church, Atlanta. Was always happy and bouncey. She and my brothers girlfriend, Joanne Smith Lockman ( she later married Lamar ) were best girlfriends. I loved Winnell and all the Brock family. She is definitely missed

As a teenager who was awkward and didn't have many friends Winnell And her Mom,Granny Beckham, reached out to me in a very special way. Later Winnell And I both taught at the Apostolic Tabernacle School. She was a no nonsense teacher but had a heart of gold. Later on after I got married my husband and I bought a car from her and Freddie . May her family remember all the good times they had with her. Love and Prayer, Lea Leckenby Haley

To all the family of Mrs. Winnell, I am so sorry for your loss, When I first met her she had come to work with us and our protocol was for all new hires to ride with a seasoned driver (not that she needed it) she rode with me on Sped bus. She would tell me stories of all her travels delivering buses to locations all over the U.S. she would talk about your Dad, and all of you (her children). She was a God fearing, family loving forced not to be reckoned with. She was always so kind to me, I care about her a lot. She went on to drive with us for years. She will be missed but I know she is glad to be home celebrating with your Dad. Her Freddie! and Jesus.
RIP Mrs. Winnell
