Obituary of Rachel Ann Ferrell

Rachel Ann Ferrell went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2020. She had been a resident at The Heritage Inn nursing home in Barnesville, GA for the last six years. Rachel was born June 3, 1944 to Bill and Nora Ferrell of Alpharetta, GA. She spent her early years in the Alpharetta area and attended Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. She enjoyed embroidery and often gave gifts of embroidery to friends and family members as her gift of love. In 1992, Rachel and her mother moved to Harrisonburg, VA to live with her cousin, Emory Cooper, and his family. Rachel moved with the Coopers to Louisville, KY and Corona, CA before returning to the Atlanta area in 2002. She was preceded in death by her father in 1976, her mother in 1996 and her sister, Reba Ferrell, in 1989. Rachel is survived by Emory and Dale Cooper of Ball Ground, GA, Brandon and Monica Cooper of Louisville, KY, Brooke and Bethany Morris of Ball Ground, GA and Blake Cooper of Ball Ground, GA along with Emory and Dale’s grandsons, Isaac, Ian and Elijah Cooper and Rhett and Reed Morris. A private memorial service will be held with final internment to take place at the Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery in Alpharetta.
