Obituary of Jimmy Earl Hancock
Mr. Jimmy Earl Hancock, 65, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Monroe County Hospital.
Jimmy was born on Saturday, December 24, 1955 in Butler, Georgia to the late Earl Hancock and Annie Mae McDaniel. Jimmy is preceded in death by his first love of 42 years, Emma Jean Hancock. Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman. He especially loved to fish. He would teach anyone that would listen to him about fishing. He was a loving, and caring man. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his life’s joy. Jimmy was a member at Rock Springs Church.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 5 years, Sarah Coffey Hancock; children, Christie Hancock Griffin (Randy), Michael Hancock, Mandy Johnston Forte, and Richard Johnston (Kristy); eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Steve Hancock (Joann); sister, Connie Perkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Jimmy Earl Hancock will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the sanctuary of Rock Springs Church with Dr. Benny Tate officiating the service. The family will greet friends and loved ones one hour prior to the service at the church.
