Obituary of Nancy "Nana" Gillespie Johnson

Mrs. Nancy Gillespie Johnson, affectionately known as “Nana”, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Upson Regional Hospital in Thomaston. Nana was born on Sunday, November 18, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Joe Burns Gillespie, and Modean Gillespie. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Jack Gillespie. Nana was a very outgoing woman who never met a stranger. She loved her church and loved her Jesus with all of her heart. Nana loved to cut up with folks; always ready with her quick-witted humor. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and Nana to all. Nana is survived by her loving children, Nikki Morris (Mike), Ashley Johnson, and Matt Johnson (Kat); grandchildren, Taylor Johnson, Keira Randle, Gabby Morris, Caleb Morris, Hunter Johnson, Jordin Johnson, Kyson Pirkle, Easton Johnson, and Livi Johnson; brother, David Gillespie; and a host of extended family also survive. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Nancy “Nana” Gillespie Johnson will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at The Lighthouse Church of Barnesville with Pastor Bobby Calloway officiating. The family will greet friends and loved ones on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
