Mr. Douglas E. Gill, age 53, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Douglas was born on Wednesday, September 4, 1968, in Pensacola, Florida, to the late Larry Gill and the late Mary Ann Wright. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Douglas was a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs fan; he was also an avid gun collector. He was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Club as well as a member of the Griffin Moose Lodge.

Douglas is survived by his stepfather, James Willis; uncle, Steve Wright; cousins, Angie Kyser, Brooke Bass & husband Jason; as well as close friend Mike Lenhart.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Douglas E. Gill will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 2:15 P.M. in Lamar Memory Gardens with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Following the service, a wake will be held at the VFW in honor of Douglas.
