Ms. Von Ada “Dolie” Metcalf McCarthy, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

 

Dolie was born on Wednesday, August 1, 1934, to the late Melvin B. Metcalf and to the late Edna Stafford Metcalf.  In addition to her parents, Dolie was preceded in death by her husband, John Justin McCarthy; two brothers, Ralph Metcalf, James Metcalf. Dolie was a very hardworking independent businesswoman who loved her family and friends, she also loved animals, especially her cat, Ralph.

 

Dolie is survived by her 3 children and their spouses; Richard Chapple (Ann), Tracy Chapple (Grant), and Randall Chapple (Susan); Grandchildren,  Andrea Willison, Sarah Miller, Kaitlyn Dale, Jenna Chapple, Alex Chapple, Jill Javanshir; Great-grandchildren Jacob Willison, Wyatt Willison, Piper Willison, Liam Willison; Addison Miller, Luka Miller, Cooper Chapple; Tucker Javanshir, Ruby Javanshir; Miles Dale, Vada Dale; Sister Joy Neves.

 

A Visitation for Ms. Dolie McCarthy will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
