Obituary of Yolanda Swatts
Mrs. Yolanda Perez Swatts, age 64, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Brightmoor Nursing Center.
Yolanda was born on Tuesday, May 27, 1958, in Hazelhurst, Georgia, to the late Sergio Perez and the late Mary Ruth Seebeck Maddox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Paul Maddox, as well as her brother, David Hearn. Yolanda was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Barnesville. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was adored not only by her family, but also by the children she worked with. She retired after 30 years of service from Lamar County Board of Education.
Yolanda is survived by her husband, Bruce Swatts; children and their spouses, Jonathan Swatts (Jennie), Joshua Swatts (Brandi); 8 grandchildren, Addie Swatts, Asher Swatts, Asa Swatts, Abel Swatts, Eden Swatts, Lillie Swatts, Micah Swatts, Katie Swatts; brother, Charlie Hearn.
Memorial Service for Mrs. Yolanda Perez Swatts will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Barnesville with Reverend Jason Teal and Reverend Garth Forster officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the church.
