I am Yvonne Poole, a niece.
Aunt Geraldine was one of my favorite aunts. She was spunky and full of smiles and laughter.
She would bring us vegetables from her garden.(I definitely remember shelling all those butter beans and stringing and breaking the green beans when I was young)
She and Uncle David visited our home when we first moved to Nashville and knew no-one. Having family visit us meant so much.
Aunt Geraldine was very supportive of our mom, Hallie Hatchett, the oldest of the eleven children.
As my mom aged, visits from her were a delight and always appreciated.
This picture, that I hope uploads, is of Aunt Geraldine and me in St. Simon’s Island, Ga. last year. We were at a restaurant with her granddaughter, Jennifer and her beautiful family. What a great memory!
I am so sorry that I missed the celebration of life. Aunt Geraldine was so loved by all of us; Terry, Carolyn, Mother, Dad and myself.❤️
