I am Jimmy Laminger from Montana. One phone call was all it took, and I was scammed out of my meager savings. It all started with a call from someone claiming to be an IRS employee. He told me I owed back taxes and would be arrested if I didn't pay immediately. I was shocked when he gave me my IRS information and address.
I was instructed to withdraw cash from my bank and deposit it at a Bitcoin ATM near my house. The caller explained the entire process and even told me which machine to use. I never thought something like this would happen to me. I’m usually very cautious. One day, I came home from work, and when I turned on my computer, a warning message appeared: My PC was compromised. I served with Jr in the Army from 1989 till 1992. We became best friends and went on many adventures together, deploying to Japan in 1989. While in Japan we had a card tent where we would play spades and were allowed to have two beers per night. From our tent we had to cross a drainage ditch on a 2x6 board to get to the beer tent. One night Jr fell off the board into the muddy ditch. He was covered in mudd. The next morning we realized the toilets drained into this ditch. I had a good laugh out of jr's expense.

About 15 years ago JR and a few others including me headed offshore in the Gulf of Mexico to reef fish… we had a few beers the night before so most of us were napping during the ride 40 miles offshore. Suddenly we all jumped up and realized the motor was smoking badly …we had no flames but smoke boiling around. Turned out we had a water hose had melted and no spare…. JR said “ gimme a beer” we are thinking now isn’t the time to start drinking… he drank the beer , took out his trusty knife and split the can… added duct tape and we had a new hose…. From broke down to fishing again with a beer fan and a knife… that’s JR … sure gonna miss you my friend

JR and I attended the FAA Academy school house together in OKC about 20 years ago. He was a great addition to our crew. As a class we had many adventures inside and outside the classroom and JR was always ready to go with a warm mischievous smile. JR was a damn good controller and his ATC brothers and sisters will miss him!
