Obituary of Eddie Corliss McGee

Mr. Eddie Corliss McGee, age 74, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

Eddie was born on Saturday, December 2, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Ernest Oscar McGee and the late Rebecca Lois Andrews McGee, in addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Hugh C. McGee

Eddie loved the Lord. He enjoyed playing ball, he played ball up until he was in his 50’s, he was a Yankee and Green Bay Packers fan. Loved his family with all his heart, had a very close and loving relationship with his daughter, always loved spending time with his grandson. He was raised by his loving grandmother Lona, he loved and cherished her very much. He would talk to anyone he met and enjoyed listening to rock n roll music.

Eddie is survived by his daughter, Michelle Swanson; grandson, Caleb Swanson; sister, Diane Brinkley; niece, Kim Yevak.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Eddie Corliss McGee will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home, with David Simmons officiating. Friends may visit the family on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home.
