Obituary of Pearl Kemp

Mrs. Pearl Lou Knight Kemp, age 67, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on Tinkerfield Air Force Base in Oklahoma to the late Mr. Von Wilson Knight and the late Margie Lou Compton Knight, she was raised in Antioch Baptist Church, but was a current member at Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Kemp had Retired from The William Carter Company. Survivors include: her daughter - Ginger Cannon (& Michael) of Griffin ; 1 Sister - Betty Knight Patterson of Barnesville ; 1 Sister-in-law - Betty Kemp Vaughan (& Leo Camp) of Griffin ; 2 Grandchildren - Ashley Cannon & Nicholas Cannon ; 4 Nieces - Tonya Chapman (& John), Kim Jones (& David), Karen Darmody (& Kevin), and Julie Cooper (& David) ; & Numerous Nieces, Nephews, & other relatives. Funeral Services for Mrs. Pearl Kemp, and her husband, Mr. John Kemp, will be conducted Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 2 O’Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend Allen Newman officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 6pm until 8pm.
