Several years ago, when I was doing research on high school football history, Mr. Sid showed me an article he kept in his wallet from where he caught a touchdown pass against the University of Miami freshman team in Orange Bowl stadium while playing for Gordon in the late 1930s. He was a good man and I have no doubt that one of the first things he did when he got to Heaven was play a round of golf with Major Joe Medcalf.
