Obituary of George Lamar Musick

Mr. George Lamar Musick age 86, of Barnesville, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in Macon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Paul Franklin Musick, Sr. and Mrs. Irene Alice Williamson Musick , and a brother, Lt. Col. Paul Musick, Jr., and a sister Mrs. Geraldine Wood. Mr. Musick was born in Carroll County, Georgia but had lived in Barnesville for many years. He was a retired Postal worker. Mr. Musick was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in World War II, member of United Methodist Church of Barnesville where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, Board of Trustees, and attended the Adult Bible Class. He was a Charter member of the Lamar County Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Musick is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mrs. Mildred Udell Watts Musick of Barnesville, one son, Mr. George Musick and wife Angela of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Two grandsons, Alex and Ben Musick also survive. Funeral Services for Mr. George Lamar Musick will be conducted Sunday, July 28, 2013 in The First United Church of Barnesville at 2 O’ Clock with the Reverend Danna Overton-Garrett and Mr. Jarred Day officiating. The Family will receive friends at the First united Methodist Church on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 1:00pm until the service hour. Following the service, Interment will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan, Georgia at 4:30 PM The Family suggests that memorial gifts be made to The First United Methodist Church of Barnesville, 375 Thomaston Street, Barnesville, Georgia 30204.
