Obituary of Helen Wooten

Mrs. Helen Skinner Wooten, age 74, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009 in a Barnesville Healthcare Facility. A native of Lake Wales, Florida, she had made her home in Lamar County for a number of years. Daughter of the late Mr. Henry Milton Skinner and the late Mrs. Rosalie Johnson Skinner, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Harold Wooten. Mrs. Wooten was a C.N.A., and had worked as a private sitter. Survivors include: 4 Sons - Mr. Buddy Gatlin of Barnesville, Mr. Henry Gatlin, and his wife Gloria, of Thomaston, Mr. Daniel Gatlin of Barnesville, & Mr. Jeff Gatlin, and his wife Dale, of Forsyth ; 5 Daughters - Mrs. Charlotte Patrick, and her husband Robert, of Barnesville, Mrs. Ruthie Heathcoe of Barnesville,, Mrs. Virginia Sheridan of Texas, Mrs. Jewel Marsiglio of Florida, and Mrs. Melissa Peugh, and her husband Robert, of Thomaston ; 2 Sisters - Jane Spradley, and her husband O’Neal, of Florida, and Mrs. Linda Spradley of Florida ; 1 Brother - Jake Skinner of Florida ; 18 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren. Memorial Services for Mrs. Helen Skinner Wooten will be conducted Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 3 O’Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Reverend Brad Banks officiating. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home from 2 O’Clock until the service hour.
