Obituary of Viola Anderson

Ms. Viola Gunn Anderson, age 88, of Milner passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 in an Upson County Healthcare Facility. A native of Anniston, Alabama, Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of the late Mr. Nolen Glass and the late Mrs. Lizzie Gunn Glass. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. William Milton Anderson, by three sons – Clint E. Roland, Oscar Roland, & Harry Roland, by two daughters – Linda Simpson & Kathy Roland Morris, by two sisters – Mary G. Horton & Brenda G. Dickerson, and by three brothers – Nolen Glass, Jr., Jake Glass, & Stoney Glass. Mrs. Anderson Retired from owning and managing truck stops. She was a member of Rock Springs Church. Survivors include: Her Daughter – Sandra Johnson (& Steve) of Barnesville ; Her Son – Ricky Roland of Barnesville ; Two Sisters – Margie Polly Gregory of Griffin, & Willie Cole of Lawrenceville ; A Special Friend – Tammy Tinsley ; 14 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren ; and numerous other family and Christian friends. Funeral Services for Ms. Viola Anderson will be conducted Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 2 O’Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Milner Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 6pm until 8pm.
