Obituary of Jim Driskell
Mr. Jim Franklin “Pete” Driskell, age 78, of Zebulon passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the home of his Sister-in-law, Peggy Sumner, who had been caring for him. Mr. Driskell was born in Upson County, and had lived in Barnesville for most of his adult life. He was the son of the late Mr. James Thadius Driskell and the late Mrs. Annie Inez Mann Driskell, and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lorene Castleberry Driskell, and by a son, Mr. Thadis Driskell. Mr. Driskell was a Retired Painter, and a man of many skills.
He is survived by his wife – Alice Yarbrough Driskell ; 2 Daughters – Denise (& Stancil) Strickland of Waycross, and Dianne (& Dearl) Clark of Zebulon ; 2 Sons – Keith (& Jennifer) Driskell of Bremen, and Clayton (& Tammy) Driskell of Milner ; 1 Step-Daughter – Lesia Bunn ; 19 Grandchildren – Wayne Etheridge, Marie Bowen, Adam and Evan Strickland, Logan and Morgan Driskell, Amy Fallings, Jonathan and Bryant Underwood, Casey, Carrie, and Catie Cook, Jeremy Campbell, Tyler Hudson, Gabriel, Ricky, and Cassie Clark, and Megan and Haley Driskell ; and 17 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mr. Jim “Pete” Driskell will be conducted from the Graveside on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 2:30pm in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 12 Noon until 2pm.
