Obituary of Mattie Boney

Mrs. Mattie Jo Crews Boney, age 99, formerly of Barnesville, passed away Tuesday November 3, 2009 at a Macon, Georgia healthcare facility. A native of Meriwether County she had lived in Barnesville for a number of years. Daughter of the late Mr. James Leonard Crews and the late Mrs. Elsie Mae Willoughby Crews, she was also preceded in death by her husband “Ras” Boney. A member of the Baptist faith, she retired as a Supervisor with The Freeman Uniform Company after 50 years of service at the age of 81. Survivors include her Sister- Margaret Arena, of Kenner, LA, Caretaker -Elaine (Joey) Hall, of Macon, GA, 8 Nieces, 4 Nephews, and a number of other relatives. Services for Mrs. Mattie Jo Crews Boney will be conducted on Friday November, 6th 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
